A girl looked in the mirror as she touched her face, pushing and pulling the skin as she tried to feel attractive. No makeup touched her skin, not from personal desire, but from lack of care. She saw no point, believing no amount of makeup could change the monster in the mirror. The monster that stared back at her through the mirror parodied her actions, and the girl stepped back. She hid her body in a loose sweater and baggy pants in an attempt to hide the creature’s grotesque figure. Her hair hung lifeless by her face, neglect making it seem dull and weak. Her eyes stared dully at the creature before her as she sighed in frustration, hating its appearance. As she stepped away from the mirror, her shoulders crept up towards her ears as she braced herself for another day.

A girl looked in the mirror as she touched her face, finally applying the last coat of makeup to the already numerous layers. Society and its structure forcing her to need to change the way she looks to the point of considering surgery to make her feel beautiful. A porcelain doll stared back at her, completely unrecognizable and emotionless. The girl stepped back, tugging her shirt down to reveal more skin than was comfortable and shifting her uncomfortably tight pants. Her stomach growled, but she ignored it; hunger was worth the price of being skinny. Pulling her hair up tightly atop her head, she caught the doll’s eyes. They were dull and empty, staring not at her but through her. As she stepped away from the mirror, a fake smile forced its way onto her face as she braced herself for another day.

A girl looked in the shattered mirror as she touched her face, angrily wiping away the tear that had slipped down her cheeks. The beast before her mocked her mercilessly, making everything she tried to do to her body a waste of time. She didn’t bother stripping from her clothes as she sunk into the hot water of the tub. Raising a shard of the mirror to her wrists, she cut deep, letting her life mix with the water. A candle flickered on the counter, its life continuing as hers faded away. Her eyes were hollow and empty, the spark of life drained away. She didn’t hear the scream of her mother when her body was found, for it was too late for her. The beast that haunted her in the mirror had finally won, and she could no longer face another day.

A girl looked in the mirror as she touched her face, putting the final touches on a light layer of makeup. She had found a balance that made her happy, enough to make her confident without changing who she was. A person smiled back at her, glowing with pride as she stepped back. Her clothes showed as much as she wanted and fit as well as she liked, allowing her beauty to shine through. Her hair framed her face, not hiding it from the world. The person before her was not misshapen, but instead an honest representation of the wonderful person who stood before it. The eyes that looked back at her were bright with hope and life. As she stepped away from the mirror, she grinned, ready to not struggle through, but conquer another day.
I saw a prompt along the lines of "She looks in the mirror as she touched her face" and this is what came out of it.

Remember, you're all beautiful. It may be hard to see it, but believe me. You are.
